Most Midjourney prompts you’ll find online are either too vague to be useful or written by people who don’t actually do design work. This list is different — every prompt here is built around real graphic design workflows, with the parameters that actually matter.
Whether you’re generating logo concepts, moodboarding a brand identity, building social assets, or exploring poster compositions, these prompts give Midjourney enough context to produce something worth working with.
A quick note on format: all prompts below are written for Midjourney v6. Add --v 6 to any of them if you’re not on the latest version by default. Where aspect ratio matters for the use case, it’s included.
Before the list: three things that separate a useful Midjourney output from a generic one.
Be specific about style references. “Minimalist logo” gets you something generic. “Minimalist logo, Swiss graphic design tradition, geometric sans-serif, black on white” gets you something you can actually work from.
Use --no to exclude what you don’t want. If you’re generating a clean brand mockup and Midjourney keeps adding clutter, add --no shadows, gradients, textures to strip it back.
Lock the aspect ratio to the actual deliverable. Designing for Instagram? Use --ar 1:1. Stories? --ar 9:16. Wide banner? --ar 16:9. It saves you from cropping outputs into the wrong shape later.

Every prompt above follows the same logic: subject → style reference → color → technical parameters. To make any of them yours, swap in your specifics at each step.
For example, take Prompt 1 and make it yours:

The structure stays the same. Only the details change.
One more tip: after your first generation, use Midjourney’s Vary (Subtle) or Vary (Strong) options rather than re-prompting from scratch. It’s much faster to iterate from something close than to start over.
